Welcome to the Care Immersion

I have some bittersweet news: the days of giving to your own detriment are over.

It’s time for a new way of giving that doesn’t drain you and a sense of energy and confidence that you believe exists but haven’t felt in a while (or maybe ever). The good news is that you already possess everything you need to shift into this new way of being. You hold a healing power that is waiting to be tapped in to, not only to care for yourself but for others, too.

The tough news is embodying this power takes effort and commitment. If it were that easy, the world wouldn’t look like, well, this. Colonial orientations to work, self-worth, spirituality, and relationships have been baked into our being from the start and need some gentle care and patience to unravel. There are tons of embodiment programs out there teaching these concepts, but its not something you can just learn. Its a practice.

What if there was a group of facilitators and healers who have gone down this journey, ready to guide you with both science and spirit? What if you could practice these things alongside a group of other community service providers, parents, artists, and healers who are willing to do the hard work of shifting to a new way of moving through the world?

The Care Immersion is a path to self, community, and collective liberation. This is a space for caregivers and changemakers to connect to intuition and take courageous action toward lives of deep integrity, authenticity, accountability, and pleasure alongside a community of people who share this desire and commitment to serve.

Guided with Soft Power, a collective and praxis for people of the diaspora ready to dream, design, and build the next paradigm. This is a space where healing happens through storytelling, genuine connection, rest, trance journeys, voice alchemy, flow state, and creative expression.

If you’re ready to recalibrate to this frequency of abundance, care, and creativity, allow me to introduce the Care Immersion.

Siobhan is embodied caregiving modeled in real time. I was drawn to the intersection of reproductive justice and caregiving and community care, and how this foundational knowledge is necessary for anyone who interacts with people (aka all of us). Our intro consult call was helpful to confirm that our values and energies aligned, and through our 1:1s and community calls, I have deepened in my leadership confidence and strengthened my voice (vocal-vaginal connection is taught!) If you are looking for a holistic, spiritual, trauma-informed, anti-patriarchal container, Embodied Caregivers is the space to nurture and be nurtured.

Meet Your Care Team

QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

  • I first birthed this program Summer of 2022 with intentions of holding space for caregivers to connect to their intuition, ancestors, and energy to show up for personal and collective healing.

This intention remains for round 2 and has been adjusted in approach. Some changes include more group elements, increased accountability, and deeper emphasis on somatic practice.

  • I took into account mentee feedback, my personal growth, and spiritual guidance while planning for round 2.

The most notable change is the increased frequency of calls, more group elements, project-based learning, and more opportunities for students to hold space and lead.

Areas of professional growth include more deeply indigenizing my healing practice through the self study of Marika Clymer’s Decolonizing Reiki course and studying Espiritismo Cruzado under Kaitlyn Graña. I have also benefitted immensely from the coaching of Kieu Dang and Captolia the Digital Witch.

  • The schedule is not completely confirmed as I am taking into account guest facilitation and enrollment numbers. To view the calendar, please book an alignment call where I’ll show you the backend of this program via screenshare.

  • My favorite shift from last year’s cohort is the addition of a “project” that all students will develop throughout our time together.

Because this is for people who want to grow as embodied caregivers for the collective, everyone will be nurtured and encouraged to create an original contribution that fits with your unique gifts and capacities. Project ideas include workshops, podcasts, community events, and art pieces. If you already have a business, that can be your project!

You do not need to know ahead of time what that might be. We will do a visualization to incept these ideas and having a project to point to throughout our time together will make our lessons integrate that much deeper!

  • All who complete the program will receive 2 certificates: The Birth Realm Care Immersion and Reiki I.

This container goes far deeper into energy work than a Reiki I certificate and I share in the container why I do not operate under the typical Western Reiki model. There will be opportunities to pursue further training after mentorship is completed.

I do not believe certifications are required to be an excellent caregiver and practitioner, and while I love the celebration of giving certificates, they are virtually meaningless without your own devotion to your praxis.

  • Yes. Scholarship availability will be dependent on enrollment and fundraising. To apply, book an alignment call.

Before inquiring for a scholarship, I encourage you to reflect on your network and proximity to resources and privilege. Past mentees have fundraised among their personal community and I think this is a wonderful way to reserve financial aid for those who may not have as resourced networks.

Financial aid is intended for those who otherwise not be able to join. I trust your integrity to discern if you truly need this assistance.

  • I identify as Filipino & Irish-American, biracial, queer, gender expansive woman. I also am a single mom coparenting. Other identities precious to me are mother, healer, abolitionist, artist, and creator.

Siobhan and her mentee Daniela hug with a backdrop of a green live wall. Siobhan has long dark brown hair and is wearing a black jumpsuit. Daniela is a latina woman with curly, bright red hair wearing a colorful knit sweater. They both smile.

You can tell Siobhan’s

passion is supporting people both spiritually and professionally. I think that her strongest trait is that she is a visionary. She has helped me envision what I wanted while helping me develop a greater goal for my projects. I don’t think I would be able to think realistically if it wasn’t for Siobhan’s support.

It is so hard for me to allow others to take charge. Siobhan calms me while reassuring me that I am safe. Their energy is so welcoming and comforting. She has taught me that being vulnerable with others is okay. Being unapologetically myself is an act of resistance.

The Birth Realm Philosophy

This original framework is a synthesis of scientific, political, and spiritual lessons and practice. It’s an approach that isn’t exclusive to childbirth but can support us in all transitions and courageous actions.

The key is developing a sense of safety in the body and together these pillars provide that foundation from which each person’s individualized practice can emerge.

This method offers an opportunity to develop an authentic Spiritual framework that your home, family, and legacy will be built upon.

Trauma-Informed Care

Polyvagal Theory

At the center of this approach is understanding the nervous system and developing toolkits for self and co-regulation.

We facilitate trauma-informed spaces and cultivate environments that center marginalized needs and enable safety, connection, and healing.

Reiki

Rooted in animistic Shinto tradition, Reiki cultivates and directs life force energy through our breathe and hands. It is an art of divine co-regulation that is an accessible starting point for your own authentic energy healing framework

Ancestor Work

Reciprocal relationship with our ancestors is foundational and when combined with proper spiritual hygiene and divination, we can move through life with more peace and trust that we are divinely protected.

THE LONGER, MORE PERSONAL STORY BEHIND THIS MENTORSHIP…

My ancestors come from the green hills and salty seas of The Philippines, Ireland, and Basque country. They were healers and artisans who sang and danced and lived off the land and honored it in return. Eventually their magical ways of being were demonized, restricted and hidden within Catholicism and an era of repression, disconnection, and secrecy began. I am the end of that era and the liberated expression of curiosity, desire, grief, and all other human emotions.

I’m proud to have cultivated an intimate community of people that say my work helped them do courageous things (like give birth), express themselves, and connect more deeply to their gifts and legacies. But what I am most proud of is the version of me that has bloomed through applying these tools to situations in my own life and allowing them to transform me into a more embodied caregiver. Because it was not always this way.

In March of 2021, after a year+ of attending births on nights, weekends, and with PTO, I resigned from my day job to go all in on my doula business . Within a month of this leap, I found out I was pregnant and my already fragile home life officially crumbled. Still raising a toddler and navigating neurodivergent self employment, I was physically deteriorating under the pressure and my big dreams for my impact as a doula slipped further and further away.

I remember being alone in my home crying, “What did I do to deserve this?!” I gave so much of my life to caring for others personally and professionally. “Why me?” I felt so angry and bitter and abandoned. But was at this rock bottom moment that my ancestors came through louder than ever: “We’re here. You have us.”

Dear caregiver,

I see you. Pouring into your loved ones and community and bringing support and healing to other people’s lives. You know what you’re doing is important, but if you’re being honest, you are under-resourced and headed toward burn out.

Its impacting your body, your relationships, and confidence. Sometimes you catch yourself feeling apathetic and even annoyed by the work that once inspired you. Deep down you’re craving more support, more energy, and confidence that this will all be worthwhile.

You know continuing down this route is no longer an option. The physical impact of this is taking its toll, but you don’t need a new life: you need a new experience of this one you worked so hard to build.

You need a new fuel source that can sustain these responsibilities and desires and you can’t just pause life while you find it. You can’t afford to waste time in another online course or self healing book and those goddess spiritual circles give you the ick.

You need a spiritual practice that is going to bring practical, physical change in your life. One that doesn’t bypass your dark truths or the political climate. Something rooted in science that works.

Maybe admitting you need support is scary. But on the other side of that fear of being seen is a desire to be witnessed and held in community. If you can let go and make it past that leap, you can receive all that care and love you pour into others.

I see you and I’m celebrating you wherever you are in your journey. Your body has been telling you its time for change, so what is it saying about a container of peers on a journey of better energy and care? If the answer is yes, welcome to the journey of the embodied caregiver.

Your guide,

Siobhan
